A Data Analyst is presently needed to help the Disney+ Product, Marketing & Content Curation, and In-Home Marketing & Distribution divisions. We are the Studio Research & Analytics team. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Disney+ Product teams, doing data analysis and synthesis as well as supporting important partners’ quantitative and qualitative research projects. This position’s main responsibilities are on tracking programs for Disney+ Products and the client experience.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research tasks, such as data preparation and gathering as well as data extraction and analysis from many sources to create tables, summaries, and report sections, are among the responsibilities.
- Using SQL to merge different data sets in order to support the daily operations of the Disney+ customer experience tracking program.
- Collaborating on research projects at Disney with other teams, sharing project objectives, business requirements, and schedules to effectively prioritize, develop, and maximize our datasets
- Establishing and preserving connections with research colleagues from different departments within the organization as well as outside vendors.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and provide regular and as-needed reports for different groups related to the product marketing, engagement, and product strategy of Disney+ and the Disney Streaming Bundle.
- Overseeing assigned projects, putting quality assurance procedures into place, and reporting assignments and progress to supervisor(s) to guarantee completion within predetermined deadlines.
- Assisting the Senior Manager and team in making sure that each outcome informs important decision-making and is strategically actionable.
Working together with the Snowflake and Databricks team and analytics groups. keeping up verbally and in writing with the most recent knowledge of data elements and requirements responding to urgent internal client requests for data supporting the presentation of research findings and participating in relevant business discussions and staying on the cutting edge of SVOD and In-Home industry trends in a landscape that is continuously changing.
Fundamental Requirements:
- Three years of applicable work experience combined with a bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, economics, psychology, data sciences, or a similar field OR a master’s degree in business, statistics, economics, psychology, data sciences, or a related field plus one year of relevant job experience
- Expertise in SQL, including the capacity to extract and integrate data from various sources
Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills; the capacity to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment; the ability to extract data and combine it with other data sources to create a rich, comprehensive picture for the business; the capacity to communicate clearly and concisely through visual presentations; the ability to multitask and the capacity to perform well in an environment with strict deadlines and frequent change
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of data processing tools (e.g., SPSS, Q, MarketSight)
- Survey tools (e.g., Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey)
- Experience interacting with big data technologies and massive datasets (e.g., cloud-based, like Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable
- A background in quantitative research, either supplier-side or client-side;
- Proficiency with R, Python, SAS, STATA, or related programming languages;
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics;
- Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy.
