About your new role

Working out Brisbane, Rockhampton or Townsville, during your 2-year contract you’ll develop and maintain effective relationships directly with customers, contractors and installers proposing the installation of solar and renewable energy systems.

You’ll be an important conduit between our customers and our network.

In the role you’ll manage and review solar and renewable applications for compliance to relevant standards and rules, meeting applicable timeframes set by National Electricity Customer Framework.

You’ll support us achieving Queensland’s renewable energy targets and transition to a cleaner future.

Day to day activities will include managing, reviewing & processing solar and renewable applications [generally
30kVA] as well as providing general connection customer advice and support, ensuring customer expectations are managed and met.

You’ll issue customer contracts for approved solar, renewable and battery applications and maintain accurate customer and contract data within the required Energy Queensland systems.

Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to build positive connections with internal stakeholders as you actively support technical aspects of applications received.

You’ll actively acquire and maintain your knowledge of all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and practices to ensure you are delivering a high-level customer service.

The remuneration for your new role is from $129k – $138k per annum plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $146k – $157k per annum plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.

About you

You possess a high level of organisation, planning and time management skills and an understanding and knowledge of the renewable energy industry ie: solar and batteries.

You have well-developed interpersonal, written, verbal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to develop good working relationships with team members and other stakeholders to identify and understand customer needs and expectations.

You’re known for your attention to detail and you’ve the ability to thrive in a fast passed working environment. You have previous experience and understanding of general contract (Legal) terms and conditions.
