About the opportunity
The Customer Service Officer in Campus Services is part of the Division of the Student Services and Operations.
Campus Services is responsible for a range of strategic and operational functions relating to the University’s built environment and campus and commercial services. The Campus Operations unit is specifically responsible for campus services including leasing, space planning and visual design and for the delivery of a portfolio of campus services activities including vehicle fleet, transport, parking, mail and courier services, venue hire, and food and drink providers.
The Customer Services Officer will undertake activities relating to the operational delivery of a range of contracted campus services including, but not limited to, print, vehicle fleet, parking, mail and catering services. The Campus Services Officer will provide expert advice on the application of University policies, processes and procedures relevant to the contracted service. The position will act as the liaison point for service providers on issues of service delivery which will require the establishment and maintenance of excellent working relationships with service providers and with clients, both internal and external.
The Customer Services Officer will be the first point of contact for service delivery queries, requests, and general administrative processes You will provide customers with technical knowledge and expertise relating to Venue Hire, site-specific permits, parking infringements and security access and keys. Passionate about customer service and continual improvement you will provide proactive, accurate, and solutions-focused advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
What you’ll do:
- Working within the Campus Operations team to provide assistance and support by performing comprehensive administrative tasks and respond to complex requests relating Campus Services functions.
- Respond to enquiries across multiple channels of communication from several functional areas within the University, whilst ensuring a consistent service approach that is aligned with established procedures and principles.
- Assist in the delivery of enhanced business systems and processes.
- Independently manage a range of business improvement projects that support the continuous improvement of Campus Services.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and engagement through providing a timely response to customer service requests and service delivery including effective client consultation and stakeholder management.
What we’re looking for:
- A diploma or Certificate IV level qualification in a relevant area with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines both as an individual and as a member of a team.
- Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, exercising discretion, sound judgement and impartiality.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and multi-skilling.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,698 comprising base salary within the range of $76,302 to $85,212 plus 17% superannuation.
