Job description: The role:
- Provide specialist telephone and face-to-face counselling, support, and advice to clients of screening and assessment services.
- Responsible for the maintenance, quality and consistency of electronic records regarding client counselling.
- Deliver counselling services to a high level of proficiency in a population screening environment.
- Ensure clinical and psychosocial information flows to general practitioners and other relevant clinical personnel providing care for BreastScreen Tasmania clients and clients of interstate BreastScreen services.
- Liaise with other clinical, nursing and Allied Health Professional staff within the multidisciplinary team.

Details of Appointment
*Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Fixed Term, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 1 October 2025
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia or Australian Counselling Association Accredited Training Standards
- Eligible for membership with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia or the Australian Counselling Association

- Day-work based at BreastScreen Tasmania, Hobart
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: * Conviction checks in the following areas:
