As a Cook at Le Royal Meridien Dubai, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting meals according to hotel standards. You will ensure food quality, hygiene, consistency, and proper food handling, working closely with the culinary and service teams to support daily operations.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Thaw, portion, garnish, and arrange food items per service requirements
- Maintain accurate food logs and ensure compliance with food safety practices
- Monitor food quality and quantity during preparation and service
- Communicate specials and shortages to service and culinary teams
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Support teammates and assist with training as needed
Job Requirements
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stand, or move during shifts
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards
