Job description: Responsibilities
1.Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and close out.
2.Manage contract amendments and maintain a centralized database to track key milestones, deliverables, and expiry dates.
3.Develop and maintain standardized contract templates to ensure consistency and process efficiency.
4.Ensure all contracts are properly documented, stored, and monitored in line with company policies and legal standards.
5.Advise management and project teams on contract terms and negotiation strategies.
6.Draft, review, and negotiate various contract types including NDAs, Agency Agreements, MSAs, EPC contracts, and bespoke agreements.
7.Conduct contract risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business interests.
8.Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, internal contracting policies, and Delegation of Authority (DoA).
9.Track changes in relevant laws and regulations and adjust practices accordingly.
10.Participate in risk reviews and commercial handovers, identifying contractual risks early.
11.Monitor contract execution to ensure parties meet obligations, KPIs, and deliverables.
12.Manage and resolve claims, change orders, and disputes in coordination with legal and project teams.
13.Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters, ensuring timely and effective communication.
14.Serve as a trusted advisor on contractual obligations, terms, and implications.
15.Identify and implement improvements in contract administration practices to enhance operational efficiency.
16.Promote consistency in contract governance and ensure adherence to commercial policies and functional standards.
17.Support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the contract function.
18.Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract management best practices.
19.Ensure project personnel understand their contractual roles and responsibilities.
20.Share updates on legal, customer, and regulatory requirements through regular briefings and reviews.
21.Collaborate with finance teams to align contracts with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
22.Support flow-down of contractual terms to purchase orders and subcontracts.
23.Assist in claims preparation and contract change management.
24.In addition to the above, the employee is expected to complete any other tasks as assigned by his / her manager.Required Skills & Abilities:
1.In-depth knowledge of contract administration and industry practices in oil and gas.
2.Strong grasp of contract law, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
3.Demonstrated experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts.
4.Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
5.Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across all levels.
6.High proficiency in contract management tools, document control, and Microsoft Office.
7.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
