We have a current opportunity in the Macarthur Youth Team.
The Youth Team provides a comprehensive and assertive early intervention and treatment service for young people aged between 14 – 24 years of age who are experiencing a first episode of serious mental health disorders. The Youth Team is a multi-disciplinary team. We provide safe and quality care delivered through evidence based and person centred interventions in collaboration with the young person, their carers and other providers to ensure a recovery that is holistic and empowering for our young people.Being a pool clinician is unique! You will be filling a vacancy in the Youth team; as other vacancies arise throughout our service you may be required to transfer into another position and share your skills within our service!This position is suited to clinicians who enjoy working within a supportive environment, are willing to learn and who are seeking full time hours across weekdays only.You will be based at Campbelltown, however future opportunities may also present at Ingleburn, Liverpool, Ambarvale, Bankstown, Fairfield, Bowral and Wollondilly based mental health services.The CMH Team are committed to providing a supportive environment where staff are empowered to achieve their full potential.Life at South Western Sydney Local Health District is rewarding, progressive and diverse and is always focused on achieving our Vision of Leading Care, Healthier Communities.What You’ll be Doing
The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating consumers’ recovery plans. The role is also responsible for non-clinical tasks including participation in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision and participation in administrative responsibilities as required.Where You’ll Be Working

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).

  • Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem. Outline the communication skills used and how you ensured the problem would not occur again.
