Job description: DESCRIPTIONThe AWS Specialists and Partners (ASP) organization is seeking an experienced, self-directed program manager to develop and execute mechanisms and processes that allows its Communications team to scale quickly and deliver AWS messages to customers, partners, and employees. The Program Manager will work with cross functional teams to manage strategic initiatives to advance ASP’s goals and priorities to ensure high quality and timely delivery to our audiences.Key job responsibilities
- Manage and identify deliverables and deadlines, communicate expectations, and ensure content execution for APO Communications across large scale initiatives, speaking engagements and events.
- Manage requests for technology support and venue needs for video recordings, events, and live streamed activities, coordinating with stakeholders and vendors through to completion.
- Create unique, scalable communication mechanisms, tools and assets that will improve the APO Comms team’s and the wider APO’s efficiency and enable more effective engagement with our global audiences.
- Champion the use of Asana as the APO Comms tool for project management and campaign visibility, including the build of an initial framework. Innovate on framework where needed to enable automation and scalability through Asana.
- Support the APO Communications Team with the integration of marketing, social and other stakeholders on unified, omni channel campaigns
- Identify gaps in operational efficiency, then design, build and implement mechanisms that will allow APO Communications to move with speed and agility.
- Serve as a back-up support to help coordinate functions for the organization’s events when required.
- Plan and communicate aspects of project performance to team members and implements the vision and objectives.
- Assist in the oversight of project tasks, establishes and monitors milestones, and prepares progress reports.
- Responsible for establishing and reporting team metrics and performance measurements against goals and targets at predetermined cadences
- Interfaces with a variety of disciplines and coordinates the work of functional units across the broader AWS organization.
- Collect stories and manage a content library to determine opportunities to highlight customer and partner wins in messaging, ensuring the content is current, relevant, and impactful

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or another relevant field of studyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– 5+ years of program/project management experience
– Diverse communications experience including executive and internal communications, social media, and internal events
– Experience in managing campaigns and content for a high-tech global company
– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs and content
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating content development

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
