As a Commis 1 in Dubai with Jumeirah Al Naseem’s Culinary team, you will support senior chefs by performing essential food preparation tasks while ensuring that hygiene, presentation, and quality standards are consistently met. Your role will contribute to maintaining the resort’s reputation for exceptional dining experiences across its restaurants and venues.Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef in food preparation and production
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and mise en place as per standard recipes
- Ensure high-quality presentation of all dishes in line with Jumeirah standards
- Monitor stock levels, restock workstations, and report shortages
- Follow food rotation and disposal procedures to maintain food safety
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with HACCP guidelines
- Attend team briefings and coordinate tasks to support kitchen efficiency
Job Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts from an accredited institution
- 2-3 years of experience in luxury hotel kitchens or high-end restaurants
- Skilled in various cooking techniques and food presentation
- Familiarity with international cuisine and 5-star kitchen operations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Committed to hygiene, quality, and operational standards
