About Your Role
The Spruce and BHG are on the lookout for a talented Commerce Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and maintaining top-notch home shopping content, including product roundups and reviews. We’re seeking an individual who can produce high-quality content, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and has a keen eye for what makes a great product.
About Your Contributions
Update and generate fresh, engaging content for The Spruce and BHG, consistently upholding our high-quality standards.
Collaborate in the product testing process, which may involve evaluating products in a real-world setting, documenting results, participating in lab testing, and gathering valuable insights from testers and community members.
Develop comprehensive buying guide content for various home product categories, incorporating expert insights and independent research.
Stay up-to-date with emerging products, models, trends, and competitor selections to ensure our readers receive the best recommendations.
About You
2-3 years of prior writing experience with an online publisher, preferably in the home or lifestyle niche.
Familiarity with SEO best practices.
Experience working in a CMS.
A genuine passion for products, particularly in the home and lifestyle realm.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines, coupled with proficient writing skills and a fundamental understanding of effective online content.
A skilled writer capable of crafting captivating headlines and concise blurbs while maintaining The Spruce’s and BHG’s distinctive voice, values, and style.
A self-motivated individual eager to contribute to the growth of our dynamic company.
A bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for this role.

Pay Range Salary: $62,400 – $70,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
