We are seeking to establish a recruitment pool for Clinical Psychologist Registrars and Clinical Psychologists seeking permanent, fixed term or casual contracts interested in various positions across the Department of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) and Fremantle Hospital (FH).
It is an exciting opportunity to experience various health roles as a clinical psychologist / clinical psychologist registrar. You will be joining a dynamic department comprising of experienced clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists with continued access to clinical supervision, operational supervision, formal and informal professional support, and educational and professional development opportunities.
Current vacancies include positions within the FSH Paediatric Feeding Team, FH Aged Care and Rehabilitation Teams, FSH ENT Head and Neck Cancer stream, Mental Health Consultation and Liaison Team (parental leave cover) and Site Wide Leave Relief position across the department.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made to current vacancies as well as to similar vacancies within the department. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/03/2025.
Position Profile: In these roles, you will work within a multidisciplinary and professional team context, delivering psychological assessments, formulations, and specialised psychotherapeutic interventions relevant to inpatients and/or outpatients within the clinical specialty, as well as consultation and education to other professionals across the hospital on psychological matters. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of safe psychological care. The position will see you act in the capacity of a Clinical Psychologist, ensuring practice is in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), and South Metropolitan Health Service policies, guidelines, and goals of the organisation.
As Clinical Psychology Registrar (HSO Grade 1) you will be provided with weekly individual clinical supervision, registrar group supervision as well as professional support to progress to full registration as a psychologist with endorsement in clinical with AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia.
As Clinical Psychologist (HSO Grade 2), you will provide clinical supervision to Clinical Psychology Registrars and Trainees, as well as access to your own fortnightly clinical supervision.
Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
