NMHS contains Western Australia’s largest Mental Health Service caring for youths, adults and older adults. Services are delivered through inpatient units, community mental health clinics and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area of almost 1 million people. State-wide and Tertiary Mental Health Services include research, forensics, neurosciences, art therapy, eating disorders and other specialised services.
About this role
Under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), this position practises as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart; provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community environment; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity: acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition and collaboration.
The position works across our Hospital in the Home (HITH) service at SIr Charles Gairdner Hospital and Wanneroo.
This role reports to the Nurse Manager Mental Health.
