- Develop and deliver seasonal buying strategies in line with brand identity and market positioning
- Finalize assortment plans, stock budgets, and Gross Margin goals with cross-functional teams
- Select styles and collections aligned with customer demand, brand guidelines, and market forecasts
- Lead the development of sourcing strategies, vendor partnerships, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with marketing and visual merchandising teams to define seasonal product priorities
Product and Performance Management
- Monitor weekly sell-throughs, category trends, and margin performance
- Adapt range plans in-season to respond to customer preferences and sales insights
- Identify assortment gaps and propose corrective actions to maximize sales
- Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and customer research to stay ahead of trends
- Drive the look and feel of the brand each season through product selection and floor planning
Operational Excellence
- Execute seasonal buy calendars, critical paths, and internal planning workflows
- Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) in collaboration with planners and general managers
- Oversee technical processes like TNA (Time and Action) plans, range hierarchy, and phasing
- Facilitate training sessions and seasonal trend presentations for frontline teams
- Ensure alignment with pricing, logistics, and promotional objectives
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in buying and product merchandising, preferably in retail/fashion
- Deep understanding of category management, fashion cycles, and margin optimization
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Strong analytical mindset with fluency in merchandise planning tools and sales reporting
- Up-to-date with fashion and lifestyle trends, competitor movements, and consumer behavior
