Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager for our marine division, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to expand our market presence in the maritime industry. Drawing upon your extensive experience and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, fostering partnerships, and enhancing our competitive position in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for growth within the maritime sector.Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand our customer base, and achieve revenue targets for the marine division.Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, as well as cultivate new partnerships with ship owners, maritime operators, government entities, and other key stakeholders.Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and bids for marine projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms and agreements, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to coordinate project delivery, resolve challenges, and optimize business processes.Market Expansion: Explore opportunities to diversify our product and service offerings, expand into new geographic regions, and leverage technology advancements to enhance our competitive edge.Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, fostering connections with industry leaders and staying abreast of developments in the maritime sector.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the maritime industry.Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving business targets in the marine sector.Deep understanding of maritime industry dynamics, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and customer preferences.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business plans and marketing strategies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; familiarity with marine industry software applications is a plus.

Expected salary: 25000 per month
