We have a 10-month opportunity for an Business Analyst to join our team.
You will be involved in the delivery of project initiatives related to the Council’s IT and Digital Strategy. As part of Project Delivery Team, you will provide support during the life cycle of a project from initial gathering of business requirements and modelling processes through to testing and supporting system implementation.
This is a full time or part time temporary role based at our Civic Centre, however, we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 6 classified role, remuneration will be $92,933.03 – $101,496.84 (pro rata) (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee.
What you will need to thrive:
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Well-developed ability to scope, plan and design business cases to support organisational needs.
- Well-developed ability to gather, validate business requirements for functional specifications.
- Well-developed ability to model processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to build positive relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Ability to work within various project management systems and methodologies including Lean, Agile and Waterfall.
- A working knowledge of budgeting techniques and the ability to support estimation of costs and identify business savings.
- Demonstrated ability to support the testing of solutions and support implementation of projects across Council.
- Demonstrated experience within a modernised IT environment with proven ability to motivate and influence an environment that fosters the exploitation of technological advancement and business demand.
- Demonstrated ability in driving customer focused excellence by working in collaboration with clients and taking responsibility to meet client’s needs.
