  • Prepare accurate periodic budget execution reports to detail the status of funds, actual/planned performance, deviation analysis, current trends, future projections.
  • Review current and prior year transactions and reports to ensure all obligations and expenditures are properly documented and recorded.
  • Review requests for additional funds and unfinanced requirements submitted by directorates and activities to assure consistency, accuracy and adherence to command policies and priorities.
  • Present information in the appropriate format to justify the budget to the reviewing and approving authorities.
  • Provide information to personnel that may be called upon to provide background information and/or expert testimony to defend operations and programs.

  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated.
  • As such, in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending10 United States Code, section 1599d.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
  • This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.

Additional information about transcripts is .Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Operating financial management programs to monitor budget expenditures; (2) Identifying solutions to budget problems; and (3) Utilizing budget processes and procedures to formulate and execute budget operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
