  • Serves as the DCAA Deputy Designated Agency Ethics Official actively managing the DCAA ethics program, and representing DCAA to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, DoD Standards of Conduct Office, and other Federal Agencies
  • Researches and writes opinions on complex ethics issues for the Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO) and Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official (ADAEO) in response to requests for ethics guidance from DCAA’s employees.
  • Renders appropriate and timely legal advice to DCAA leaders and employees on all legal issues pertaining to Government ethics, including criminal conflict of interest laws, Executive Branch Standards of Conduct and the Hatch Act.
  • Administers DCAA’s financial disclosure program, ensuring the timely assignment, collection, review, and certification of financial disclosure reports (OGE-278 and OGE-450) for compliance with Federal ethics regulations and DoD regulations.
  • Renders appropriate and timely legal advice on DCAA administrative law matters, such as claims, fraud, investigations, information systems, fiscal or procurement matters as a member of the OGC Acquisition Law and Ethics Division.
  • Identifies, reviews, and analyzes the impacts of changes in law or regulations on the operations of the Department’s programs and ethics implications of such changes.

Applicants must possess excellent academic and professional credentials, and outstanding professional references.In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants shall have at least one year at the next lower grade level of professional legal experience that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position to be filledSpecialized Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes:

  • Knowledge of Federal ethics and fiscal laws, regulations, and policies applicable to DoD;
  • Experience analyzing and applying legal standards to minimize risk;
  • Experience developing internal controls and processes to deliver data-driven insights, and mentoring
  • Ability to manage legal programs, especially ethics and financial disclosure reporting programs;
  • Ability to develop and deliver ethics education training;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver efficient legal services;
