Assists with the preparation of annual activity operational budget, other reports and documents. Maintains records and files.Assists and provides technical information to patrons on their vehicle repair and maintenance. Maintains property, equipment and tool inventories. Schedules and performs a variety of MCCS department vehicle¿s periodic maintenance. Monitors car wash operations. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of equipment, stock replenishment and cleanliness of activity. May be responsible for change fund.Assist in the supervision of assigned employees, approves/disapproves leave requests and completes performance evaluations. Verifies daily attendance and time cards. Prepares work schedules. Ensures that security, safety, and housekeeping rules are followed. Provides on-the-job training, instruction and guidance to employees.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. EVALUATIONS:QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have two years of managerial/supervisory experience that demonstrates knowledge and skill in the management of an Auto Skills Center facility or similar business. Must have at least two years of experience as an automotive mechanic; in automotive diagnosis and ability to determine areas of repair. Must have knowledge regarding use of hand tools, equipment and a computer. Auto air conditioning refrigerant recycling certification is preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
