As Assistant Head Teacher, you will lead school-wide initiatives related to student wellbeing, curriculum consistency, and leadership development in lower primary education. Based at our innovative, eco-conscious campus in Sharjah, you’ll work alongside the Associate Senior Leadership Team to improve standards of care, teaching quality, and parental engagement. - Oversee quality assurance of LKS2 curriculum, data, and assessment
- Lead and monitor implementation of policies to ensure consistent learning standards
- Plan and deliver CPD initiatives for academic staff across pastoral and cultural development
- Manage school-wide tracking systems and improvement plans
- Liaise with external bodies and represent the school in all professional capacities
- Organize parent engagement sessions and stakeholder briefings
- Guide the self-evaluation and school improvement cycle
- Support school-wide events and act as a leadership role model for all phases
Leadership & Reporting
- Serve as a key member of the Associate Senior Leadership Team
- Contribute to strategic planning and performance review processes
- Lead working groups to evaluate new systems and educational frameworks
- Support cross-departmental initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability and wellbeing
Required Qualifications and Skills
- B.Ed or Bachelor\’s degree with PGCE / PGDE (Primary Education specialization)
- Minimum 4 years of leadership or middle-management experience in British curriculum schools
- Demonstrated excellence in primary teaching and pastoral leadership
- Excellent IT proficiency and communication skills for working with parents and staff
- Strong organizational and team-building skills
- Open University or online qualifications are not accepted
