Anglicare provides the Housing Connect Front Door Service across Tasmania. Housing Connect is the entry point for assistance for people who are experiencing homelessness or are in housing need.Use your experience, skills and enthusiasm to help make a difference with people at risk of homelessness.
About the Role:
We seek an experienced leader to supervise the Housing Connect Applications Management team across the state. This role will direct and monitor workflows to ensure consistency of service delivery, and to meet application needs and targets.
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in supporting a team in a leadership capacity.
- High-level administrative and organisational skills with experience in record-keeping and management
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing relationships and work practices with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience in working collaboratively and managing a multidisciplinary team.
The Applications Management Team Leader:
- Proactively manage a team and contribute positively to team development
- Provide advice, guidance and resources to support the work of the Applications Management team.
- Monitor teamwork flows and provide support during busy periods.
- Provides advice and support to people seeking housing assistance with accessing services and completing applications
- Ensures Housing Connect policy and guidelines are adhered to.
- Approve discretionary application requests in liaison with other senior Housing Connect members.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders and other Housing Connect team members

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
