Job description: Description:CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer SAP NextGen Manufacturing opening for our client in Houston, TX.Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in Houston, TX)
Duration: 5 monthsDuties:
- Design, implement, and configure SAP ME/MII solutions to address specific manufacturing (Auto) needs.
- Configure production orders, work instructions, quality checks, and equipment monitoring within SAP ME/MII.
- Develop custom applications and workflows within the ME/MII platform to meet unique business requirements, including custom screens, reports, and data processing logic.
- Integrate SAP ME/MII with other SAP modules, particularly SAP S/4, and ensure seamless communication between shop-floor handheld devices and the system.
- Identify and resolve functionality issues within SAP ME/MII, including data integrity and integration concerns.
- Troubleshoot and address performance-related issues.
Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience with SAP ME/MII modules, demonstrating a deep understanding of functionalities like production order management, work instructions, quality control, and data acquisition.
- Expertise in SAP ME/MII integration points with SAP S/4 and other SAP modules.
- Proficiency in ABAP, JavaScript, or other programming languages used for custom development within the SAP environment.
- Strong understanding of database structures and proficiency in SQL queries.
- Experience with SAP ME SDK for enhancements and SAP MEINT using XSLT for customizations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and business processes, particularly in the automotive industry.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for performance-related issues.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in full-cycle SAP implementation and rollout projects, with at least 10 years of expertise in SAP ME/MII module design, configuration, and testing.
- Extensive real-world experience in manufacturing operations and business processes.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems).
