Job description: Dubai, UAE SALARY: 16,000 AED – 18,000 AED PER: Month TERM: PermanentThe Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable function, including credit management, collections, deductions, cash application, and reporting. The role involves close collaboration with the sales team, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The Accounts Receivable Manager is also tasked with optimizing department processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and leading initiatives to improve cash flow and departmental efficiency.Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable process, including credit management, collections, deductions, cash application, and month-end close.
  • Ensure timely and accurate application of cash received and manage the reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to address outstanding accounts receivable and manage customer credit limit requirements.
  • Implement and apply best practices for the collection of overdue customer accounts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

2. Discrepancy Resolution & Reporting

  • Resolve discrepancies and billing issues in coordination with internal teams and customers.
  • Liaise with banks for the management of guarantees and letters of credit (L/C).
  • Prepare and present weekly collection forecasts to assist in cash flow management.
  • Generate manual invoices based on delivery notes information as required.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on credit, collection, and deduction metrics, and forecast upcoming cash flows using Power BI.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS principles across all accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with audit processes related to accounts receivable, ensuring timely completion and compliance.

3. Process Optimization & Team Leadership

  • Lead projects aimed at improving internal controls, process efficiency, and ERP performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement in workflow processes, task automation, and other operational aspects, and lead the implementation of recommended changes.
  • Define and implement key performance metrics to monitor departmental efficiency and productivity. Communicate these metrics to the team and ensure that expected performance levels are met.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating dispute resolution, including customer claims and denied deductions.

4. Risk Management & Legal Coordination

  • Manage and update the accounts receivable bad debts register, working with the Finance Manager to assess accounts for potential write-offs.
  • Assist in the process of sending accounts to collections and work with the legal team regarding liens, court orders, or claims as necessary.
  • Liaise with credit insurance companies and the Finance Manager for customer credit approvals and ensure appropriate coverage for high-risk accounts.

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Proficiency in accounts receivable management, including credit and collections processes.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, including preparing and analyzing reports using tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of IFRS principles and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems and process automation is highly desirable.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably within the UAE.
  • Experience in managing teams and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or similar are an advantage.
