Job description: Payable ClerkLocation: Bellville, Cape TownR15 000 – R20 000 We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Bellville, Cape Town. This role offers a monthly remuneration of R15,000 – R20,000 and involves a range of responsibilities in the field of accounts payable.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Ensuring invoices are recorded and paid in a timely manner.Preparing monthly creditors reconciliations and promptly clearing reconciling items.Monthly reconciliation of accounts payable trial balance to general ledger control accounts.Following up on all outstanding invoices per supplier’s statements.Preparing an age-analysis of creditors’ balances for account manager’s review.Loading payments and new creditors on the online banking system.Handling ad hoc payment requests based on operational requirements.Daily processing of cash book entries from bank statements and bank reconciliations.Allocating payments against applicable creditor transactions.Distributing supplier remittances.Account allocations and ensuring the completeness of monthly expenses.Responding to all supplier inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Interacting with internal departments (Buying / Finance / Operations) and maintaining excellent relationships with external Suppliers.Month-end procedures and specifications of expense accounts.Filing and other general clerical work.Skills:Strong communication and listening skills.Positive attitude.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Fluent in English and Afrikaans.Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook).Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.Pastel Evolution and Xero experience beneficial.General:Reports to the Financial Manager.To apply, please email your CV and Professional Picture to wendyjobs@wcp.co.za.
