Job description: Dubai, UAE SALARY: 18,000 AED – 25,000 AED PER: Month TERM: PermanentJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in DMCC, Dubai. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Arabic and English, and responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting regulations, and preparing reports that assist in key financial decision-making. The candidate must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT laws, along with experience in working with DMCC regulations.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts, trial balances, and financial statements.
- Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements, ledgers, and intercompany accounts.
- Handle all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring payments and collections are processed on time.
- Tax and Compliance:
- Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
- Prepare necessary documentation for audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with DMCC and UAE accounting regulations, including timely filing of all financial reports.
- Payroll & Budgeting:
- Process monthly payroll in accordance with UAE labor laws.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, analyzing variances and making recommendations for cost control.
- Manage cash flow and forecast future financial performance.
- Reporting:
- Generate accurate financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis by providing key data insights and reports.
- Ad hoc Support:
- Provide financial data and insights to assist with business strategy development.
- Assist in financial decision-making processes by preparing forecasts and projections.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Languages: Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting laws, DMCC regulations, and VAT compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
