Job description: Our client in the Financial Services industry is currently looking for an Accountant, in Sandton.

Responsibilities:
- Finance Function:
- Preparing and reconciling creditors’ payments.
- Preparing and reconciling of cash books.
- Ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in the GL.
- Reconciliations of GL accounts
- Ensuring fixed assets are accurately recorded and depreciated.
- Ensuring expenses are minimized.
- Budgeting and financial planning.
- Management Accounts
- Manage the annual audit process.
- Establish & Implement Policies, Procedures, Strategies and Workflows:
- Create and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to create operational efficiencies and minimize manual processes.
- Tax Matters:
- Preparation of all tax returns (VAT and Dividends Tax)
- Resolve tax queries from SARS.
- Assist in overall tax compliance.
- Month-end process.
- Preparation of the monthly management packs.
- General:
- Assistance on special projects within the finance function.
- Assist in obtaining information for ad hoc requests received from both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- BCom in Accounting.
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Property experience Beneficial but not a requirement.
- SAIPA Articles Beneficial but not requirement.
Remuneration:
- R25 000 – R35 000 per month.
Expected salary: R25000 – 35000 per month
