Job description: To oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.

- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Maintain general ledger accounts – By preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries, preparing balance sheet and income statements
- Process all accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions. Handle cash, bank and petty cash transitions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain petty cash.
- Support month-end and year-end book close process.
- Prepare weekly and monthly running cash forecast
- Record and monitor fixed asset transactions.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns for submission to Tax authority.
- Liaise with external auditors in preparation for audit and attend all queries and requirements from auditors.
- To handle and address requirements from different stakeholders (Auditors/Banks/Vendors etc.) and establish strong working rapport with stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CA/CPA/CMA qualified.
- 2-5 years’ of experience in similar role
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP- Microsoft Dynamics AX/ SAP/Oracle. Hands on experience with accounting software packages like AX Dynamics preferable.
- Planning & organizing, time management and reporting skills preferred.
- Strong accounting skills and well versed with current IFRSs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax laws.
- Good knowledge and understanding of private equity and private equity funds.

Expected salary: 120000 – 180000 per year
