Job description: A well established company based in Morningside is seeking a Accountant.Duties:

- Maintain payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and other changes to payroll.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and best practices across all jurisdictions in which the group operates.
- Co-ordinate third-party payroll service providers across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Maintenance and management of HR, employment and other HR related agreements, contracts etc
- Prepare and analyse payroll budgets and forecasts.
- Leave management Manage leave, monitor paid and unpaid leave.
- Resolve adhoc payroll queries.
- Staff incentive schemes:
- Bookkeeping for schemes
- Drawdowns and distributions to beneficiaries
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements (in terms of IFRS)
- Income tax preparation,
- Annual beneficiary reporting and tax reporting
- Management of annual audits
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Will need to have an understanding of Forex
- Manage accounts for 30 Entities.
- Will be handling tax , but not submitting to SARS.
·Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HR
- Proven experience as payroll accountant or equivalent
- Degree and qualification, suitable for the role
- SAIT Qualification (Advantageous)
- SAIPA / SAICA Articled Background (Advantageous)

Expected salary: R35000 – 40000 per month
