The Account Manager is to establish an ongoing, positive and informative relationship with our clients. Serve as a key member due to playing a pivotal part in client retention by ensuring that we keep an open and collaborative environment that responds to the changing needs of each client’s preference.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and protect the relationships between the company and its clients
- Maximize the long-term revenue opportunities by becoming trusted advisers to clients and strengthening their loyalty
- Conduct a review, at least annually, with all mid-level revenue clients
- Maintain Salesforce database
- Independent issue tracking, resolution and client education
- Cross-selling other services
- Position SHIELD transition and other offerings
- Attend client events/functions as beneficial
- Attend SHRM, APA, etc. as needed
- Establish relationships with your client base by visits and timely addressing their needs and issues so that they feel comfortable serving as a reference with potential clients.
- Build relationships with clients so that long-term agreements can be secured, and new lines of business can be added
- Client retention (with the exception of circumstances outside of your control – acquisitions, etc.)
- Previous HR experience and/or account management experience desired, unemployment compensation experience a plus
- Detailed, organized and sense of urgency in handling sensitive client issues
- Ability to work internally with other departments to investigate a problem, organize a sufficient, timely response and deliver a detailed explanation to the client to resolve the issue to their satisfaction
- Ability to travel (very limited amount with this client group – perhaps 1-3 times per Quarter)
- Excellent communication skills – Ability to present PowerPoint presentations of program results to high level corporate officers
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task to handle many on-going issues at the same time
- Overall management of a group of clients to ensure satisfaction
- Managing the implementation process of our services to new clients in a timely manner
- Resolve any service issues that arise to the client’s satisfaction
- Run reports and create PowerPoint presentations to share with clients
- Training of clients on matters related to our services
- Handle special requests by clients
- Manage multiple internal client databases with most current client information
- Assist in contract renewals and past due accounts when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- College degree required
- 1-2 years of client services experience, preferred
- 1-2 years of unemployment service and/ or tax experience, preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
