  • Welcome clinic visitors to create an exceptional patient experience with every interaction.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that frequently adapts to industry standards, interacting with patients seeking mental health and substance use treatment. Patients can include children as young as three, adolescents, and adults 18 and older.
  • Address patient questions and explain the intake process, CCBHC services, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure all patients are signed up for the patient portal, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Proactively work with management and business intelligence team to work on maximining access to services in the CCBHC clinic, working with management team to ensure data metrics for access are met.
  • Utilize multiple electronic platforms, including our Electronic Health Record (EHR), various web-based systems, and other technology platforms. Duties include overseeing scheduled appointments, and other tasks as needed.
  • Support the day-to-day needs of our clinical and medical staff, including managing, triaging, and supporting administrative responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with Program Directors and Practice Managers to address site operations and problem solves as needed
  • Monitor patient experience to ensure proper customer service is being performed and assists patients and staff in addressing and resolving concerns/complaints
  • Have a general understanding of differing service visits and related payment amounts with knowledge of service requirements necessary to bill for each service
  • Respond in a timely fashion to interoffice emails requiring action
  • Follow up on issues related to internal and external audits
  • Continuous training and implementation of established/new Horizon policies and procedures
  • Identify, communicate and show initiative to improve business and administrative processes that are causing problems and inefficiencies in conjunction with the Program Directors and Practice Managers
  • Employ creative problem-solving to support the overall operations of the clinic.
  • Analyze reports to identify concerns or trends and implement/follow up on strategic goals
  • Analyze operations, data and real time situations quickly to ensure well-organized practices of your clinic
  • Be responsible to observe changes and trends in the clinic and make appropriate concessions to alleviate concern or increase positive outcomes

What makes you a great candidate?We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:

  • Master’s degree preferred or bachelor’s degree with experience in the field required.

OR –

  • Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field required.

OR –

  • High school diploma with 6 years of experience in the behavioral health field required.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated abilities to resolve diverse problems, to understand the importance of structure, organization, resource management and to complete critical tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to relate to mentally ill or chemically dependent individuals and their families of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as have the ability to interact with them in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.

Location:2400 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301. Must be willing to travel to other Horizon locations.Hours:This position is full-time, Monday-Friday. Must have the ability to work evening hours if applicable.CompensationHorizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. This position starts at a salary of $71,032 – $79,550 annually. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.This position entails eligibility for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 for your commitment to work at our Horizon Certified Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) located at our Pine Avenue Recovery Center and Lockport Recovery Centers for at least one year. A change in scheduled hours or location of employment may impact eligibility of bonus.Physical demands associated with this position include:

  • Stationary posture with frequent standing/sitting alternation.
  • Mobility between nearby worksites and within facilities.
  • Mobility required involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
  • Handling light duties, moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
