The Career and Technical Education Academy is looking for an Auto Body Teacher. Our position involves teaching students the basics of automotive collision repair. The teacher will be responsible to demonstrate and develop skills that are performed at body shops on a daily basis. Skills taught will include structure repair, non-structure repair, painting, refinishing and auto body estimating. Applicants that will need a CTE alternative teaching certificate will be considered.

This position requires a valid South Dakota teaching certificate with either the Auto Body Technology Career Pathway endrosement or the Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Career Cluster endorsement.

Interested in becoming a contract teacher but don’t hold a traditional teaching degree?
The South Dakota Department of Education offers an Alternative Certification program! Individuals will take 15-credits plus praxis exams while they perform their duties as a contract teacher for a South Dakota school district. Alternative Certification is available for most positions 5th grade through high school.

Salary Schedule
