Job description: We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant passionate about supporting elderly clients to continue to live at home
Permanent part time
Ideally at least three days per week
Flexible hours between 8:30am to 4:30pm
Fresh graduates welcome to apply
$27.89 to $30.11/hr (depending on qualifications and experience)
+ 11% Superannuation + Not for Profit Packaging
The role supports older persons living in Lilydale and surrounding area

About the role
You will promote and support elderly clients to continue to live in the community via provision of high quality care services.
- Spend one on one time with a diverse range of clients
- Support the unique needs of each client with varied services from support with personal care, light housework, meal preparation, shopping, transport to appointments, community engagement and respite care.
- Safely and respectfully assist with personal care and household tasks as outlined in the Clients Care Plan and Task List
- Assist clients with facilitating transport, and community access as required
- Document tasks performed and other relevant information as required by the program guidelines
- Report and document specific client changes and health concerns, or other service delivery issues, to the Service Coordinators/Care Manager
- Work as an effective team member attending all relevant meetings and training sessions
- Support the implementation, adherence and review of a client’s care plan/task list
About you
- Flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.
- A true passion and ability to support clients in their home
- Knowledge of the ageing process and of Home Care services and programs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and report concerns promptly to the service coordinators or care managers
Qualifications
- Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent/higher
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid Victorian drivers licence, insured & roadworthy vehicle
- Smartphone, access to computer/device
