This pivotal role will see you responsible for the provision of quality support to the Governance and Risk Team. This position encompasses a wide range of duties including research, administration, record management, and report compilation, as well as stakeholder liaison for legal, governance, and external complaints work. As a key player within our organisation, you will ensure the smooth operation of our Governance and Risk activities through your proactive and detail-oriented approach.

  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
  • Actively seek and propose enhancements in Governance and Risk Team processes to boost accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and management of databases to support Governance and Risk activities.
  • Support the preparation of Board/Committee materials, as well as compile risk, compliance, and dispute resolution reports.
  • Prepare and gather necessary documentation for both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory submissions.
  • Conduct targeted legal, compliance, and policy research as needed.
  • Aid in identifying and understanding legal and regulatory obligations.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who demonstrates a blend of legal qualifications and/or experience, particularly in areas such as para-legal work, governance, risk, and compliance, which will be highly regarded. We are looking for an individual who:

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, complemented by a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office programs, facilitating efficient and professional document and presentation creation.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills, including adeptness in presentation, necessary for clear and impactful information dissemination.
  • Maintains a strong sense of professionalism, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Shows initiative, flexibility, and adaptability, responding proactively to changing situations and business requirements.
