About the Role
The Data Analyst in the System-wide Strategy, Policy and Projects Directorate reports to the Manager, Strategic Policy and Implementation and is responsible for leading, coordinating and undertaking complex data analysis projects and product development strategies to support effective program management and decision making across Student Pathways and Careers.

As a relatively new Division, the Data Analyst will have a key role in planning and implementing new data protocols, systems and reporting products, which will involve liaising with other areas within the Department regarding data requirements relevant to Student Pathways and Careers.

The work of the Data Analyst informs and complements the department’s business intelligence capability and capacity to analyse, manipulate and present data in ways that support the strategic directions of the agency and the broader government.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO7: $106,512 – $115,137 per annum plus superannuation

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) contract, starting immediately for 12 months with possibility of extensions.
