We are currently seeking a skilled Electronic Security Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security and life safety systems in and around Mbombela.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry and possess expertise in access control, IP CCTV, intruder alarms, and related systems. Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid drivers license
Minimum of 3 years experience in the electronic security and life safety industry, with expertise in access control, IP CCTV, smoke detection, intruder alarms, PA/evacuation, structured cabling, IT, and networking
Preferred experience with product sets including Salto, Technoswitch, and Paradox
Mandatory PSIRA registration; SAQCC registration is beneficial
Demonstrated ability in teamwork, planning, and working independently
Capacity to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform installation, programming, fault finding, commissioning, handover, and maintenance of electronic security and life safety systems at a specific site in Nelspruit.
Update site schematics and as-built drawings.
Supervise installation teams to ensure adherence to manufacturer and company installation standards.
Flexibility to work weekends, after hours, and travel as required.
Provide progress reports and project status updates to management.
Conduct site inspections and communicate effectively with customers regarding requirements and expectations.
