General Description
QISG is seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team. As part of our data engineering group, you’ll play a pivotal role in onboarding diverse datasets into Incorta, our powerful data lakehouse solution. Your work will span various domains, including Finance, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Quality. By constructing well-designed schemas and business models from simplified and joined datasets, you’ll empower both BI developers and business users to access relevant information effortlessly. Your expertise in ETL processes and SQL will be crucial for integrating even the most obscure data sources. Additionally, you’ll contribute to building essential metrics, calculations, and dashboards within the Incorta environment. Duties

  • As an Incorta Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing data models within the Incorta platform. This involves understanding business requirements, identifying relevant data sources, and creating efficient data structures.
  • You’ll transform raw data into meaningful insights by defining relationships, hierarchies, and calculated fields.
  • Your expertise in Incorta will be crucial for creating and maintaining schemas. This includes defining logical tables, joins, and aggregations.
  • You’ll collaborate with business intelligence analysts and stakeholders to ensure the schema aligns with reporting needs.
  • Writing SQL queries is a fundamental part of your role. You’ll retrieve data from various databases and integrate it into Incorta.
  • Optimizing these queries for performance—whether it’s filtering, aggregating, or handling large datasets—is essential.
  • You’ll build interactive dashboards and reports using Incorta. These dashboards empower users to explore data, visualize trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Customizing widgets, creating calculated measures, and ensuring a user-friendly experience are part of your daily tasks.
  • Incorta Developers play a critical role in maintaining data governance. You’ll define access controls, manage user permissions, and ensure data security.
  • Compliance with privacy regulations (such as GDPR) is also part of your responsibility.
  • Monitoring and fine-tuning Incorta’s performance is essential. You’ll identify bottlenecks, optimize data loading processes, and enhance overall system responsiveness.

Required

Experience and Education

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems Technology, provides a strong foundation for this role. Incorta Proficiency:
  • Demonstrated experience working with Incorta, including schema design, data modeling, and dashboard development.
  • SQL Skills:
  • Strong SQL knowledge for querying, joining, and aggregating data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, understand business requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • It’s advantageous to have worked with one or more of these source systems: JD Edwards, EcoSys, Procore, and Oracle Primavera P6.
  • 5+ years of experience
