The CNE will work in collaboration with the ED Simulation Nurse and Medical Leads and other simulation team members to develop and implement simulation based education and quality improvement initiatives within the critical care setting. This will be achieved by a structured program comprising workplace learning and supervised practice relevant to the provision of simulation education for a multi-professional healthcare audience.
What you’ll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.
The CNE will work collaboratively to support clinical education to others outside the ward/ unit when required.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
- Demonstrated effective clinical teaching skills
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development
- Demonstrated advanced written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards relating to education
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
