Your Role

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic persons for the position of receptionist at the Catholic Education Office, Rockhampton. This is a term-time continuing position (working school weeks with four weeks required during the school holiday periods – one week at the commencement of the year prior to school commencing, one week at the end of the year after school has ended and two weeks during the June/July holidays.)

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide a professional and welcoming environment to all visitors of the Catholic Education Office (CEO).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all CEO communication including written, verbal and electronic.
  • Oversee and manage car bookings, including service bookings (in conjunction with the Executive Assistant to the Director).
  • Bookings and functions for CEO meetings including scheduling availability.
  • Direct all telephone calls promptly and maintain a record of all calls and messages.
  • Work cooperatively with all other staff in relation to the smooth running of the reception area and workroom area.
  • Assist with special projects and events for CEDR as required.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including distribution of mail and maintenance of office resources and supplies.
