Job Summary: * Create and plan English curriculum and instruction in collaboration with ELD co-teacher for Recently Arrived English Learners (RAELs) in Newcomer Academy

  • Integrate ELD standards aligned with content curriculum of Independent School District 196
  • Carry out responsiblites as defined by ELD Leadership team, administration and site coordinator
  • Maintain good communication and cooperation with students, staff and families

Qualifications: * Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach English for grades 9-12

  • Strong general academic background.
  • Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation:
$40.00/hr on student-contact days
