About the Direct Care Worker role

Right now, we are recruiting for casual staff to work in Secure Care Services across two residential facilities in inner north-west metropolitan Melbourne.

You will be joining a passionate and specialised team who provide high quality care, supervision and security to vulnerable children and young people residing in our Secure Care Service facilities.

As a Direct Care Worker your role would involve empowering children and young people to make positive changes in their lives. You would act as part of a network of care, helping them establish and follow a daily structure, achieve important goals, and develop essential life skills.

The role is varied, challenging, and rewarding. You will be providing support to children and young people who may have experienced significant trauma and display challenging behaviours while we develop a case plan to address the protection needs, reduce the risk of harm, and return the child or young person to the community as soon as possible in a safe and planned way.

What is required:

First Aid/CPR or willing to obtain prior to commencement of role.

Minimum Certificate IV Community Services, Youth Work or equivalent is desirable.

A current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required.
