Job description: The CompanyOffices are located towards Melbourne’s northern suburbs and can be accesses by private or public transport . You will be working for a very friendly and supportive non for profit organisation who are in a phase of expansion. They offer full training and also hybrid working so you can work from home 2 days per week. The RoleThis role will be hired initially on a 6 month contracting basis though there is a strong chance for permanency at that stage if all goes well. This is a highly commercial and analytical role which focuses on improvement of processes and procedures within the areas of Accounts Payable, Procurement and Purchasing. We are seeking applications from either:Senior Accounts Payable/Purchasing/Procurement professionalsAccountants who have overseen the above areasFinancial Analysts who have overseen the above areas Typical day to day duties in this position will likely involve:Management and development of financial operational procedures, control and systemsAnalyse current procedures in invoice processing, purchasing and procurement and identify areas for efficiency and streamliningWork with management to drive new change and operational streamliningConduct GAAP analysisHigh level use of excel for analytical purposesEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with major suppliersConduct analysis and reporting to enable management oversight of financial operations and service delivery activitiesSupplier statement reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and managing outstanding transactionsCoordinate and submit consolidated reports in preparation for month-end activitiesEstablish and update procedural manuals inherent to the positionDevelop and present financial operational training programs This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly analytical and has a track record of process improvement. The role offers hybrid working flexibility and is based north of Melbourne’s CBD.
