Duties

  • You will possess expert knowledge to analyze techniques, components, and tools of a typical database design, and management. Necessary to devise, administer, promulgate a comprehensive financial database information system.
  • You will possess moderate to advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)/MS Access, Coding, C#, Visual Basic, ASP Net, Power BI, ASP Net, Power BI, SQL Server Report Server.
  • You will possess moderate to advanced knowledge of SharePoint, and Excel are necessary to define manipulate, and access a financial database.
  • You will use knowledge of program interrelationships and databases to ensure costs of programs are accurately collected.
  • You will access multiple automated systems to manipulate, extract, edit and project costs for various programs and provides analysis and interpretation of data.
  • You will serve as the focal point for all financial information database systems program requirements.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of implementation, utilization and data integrity of both custom-built and directed financial systems. Devises automated solutions to problems by developing and/ or modifying accounting methods.
  • You will ensure maximum utilization of resources. Acts as the subject matter expert for all financial systems and recommends system improvements and changes as efficiencies are discovered.
  • You will be responsible for the management of custom software solutions for the N7, (Comptroller Department). Incumbent innovates, develops, maintains, and sustain custom desktop web and report base.
  • You will have the ability to present coherent and persuasive recommendations based on sound, defensible rationale. Ability to accept differing views, make rational assessments, and present alternatives and solutions with tact and conviction.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of GS-12 experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
performing a wide variety of analytical report/dashboard development, custom web/database development and projects related to process improvement, productivity improvement, data management, and long-range management and method improvement; and developing manuals and directives covering administrative aspects of operations.

GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assist with performing a variety of analytical report/dashboard development, assist with web/database development.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11:

PhD or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., (if related).
