The Radiographer Sonographer Senior / Sonographer Senior would deliver high level ultrasound clinical services and professional leadership within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) in accordance with organisational goals. Ensuring a professional, efficient and effective diagnostic service contributes to patient-centred care, and positive outcomes for referring clinicians.
They will provide education and impart specialist level knowledge to staff, patients and the public regarding the clinical and safety considerations specific to Nuclear Medicine and provide a patient focus to the performance of duties.
Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $124,435 to $133,901 p.a. (HP4)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Role Requirements
- Mandatory:
- Accredited Australian Sonographer Accredited Register (ASAR), with recognised qualifications
- Post Graduate qualification in Ultrasound, or
- An appropriate Degree or Diploma in Sonography from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Medical Radiation Professional (AHPRA):
- If a Radiographer, the applicant must hold current registration with MRPBA (AHPRA), with recognised tertiary qualification in a Medical Radiation profession.
- Hold a current Queensland Radiation Use License.
- Desirable:
- Evidence of significant professional development activities.
- Appointment to this position requires JP-certified proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle.
- Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD’s Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
