About the role
As a MCH Nurse at Glen Eira City Council, you will support our high quality program by providing a range of efficient and comprehensive services to families and children which optimise their health, wellbeing, learning, development and safety.

You will also be part of the Family, Youth and Children’s Services Department – a team who are passionate about the best outcomes for children, young people, and families in Glen Eira through advocating, collaborating, and providing high quality services.

About you
You are an experienced MCH Nurse that has a friendly and calm nature and possesses excellent communication skills. You can be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of families and work from a strengths-based, family centred approach. You have a professional and enthusiastic attitude about working within a team and can also work independently.

The following is also required:

  • Have a recognised Maternal and Child Health qualification or equivalent
  • Hold a current AHPRA registration as both Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Registered Midwife
  • Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence

This position is subject to satisfactory Police Check, Employee Working with Children Check, and proof of three COVID-19 vaccinations or authorised medical exemption (in accordance with Council’s COVID-19 Protective Behaviours Policy) prior to commencement.
