About the role
To contribute to the provision of a high quality, reliable and efficient diagnostic service within the Metabolic Laboratory by:
- Receiving, sorting, triaging, and performing preliminary preparation on specimens for analysis.
- Performing and maintaining assays within the Metabolic Laboratory.
- Ensuring accurate information and data are entered onto the various the LIS.
- Ensuring external and internal enquiries are managed effectively in a timely manner.
- Performing general laboratory duties as directed by the Section Head.
- Participate in providing a high-quality biochemical genetics service across the GMP directorate
