Parsons Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for construction supervision of major infrastructure projects in Dubai. This role is focused on overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as pumping stations, firefighting networks, and chilled water systems. The selected Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and supervising mechanical works across all phases of infrastructure construction projects. From design review and authority compliance to final commissioning, this role plays a vital part in delivering utility and public service systems on time and within quality benchmarks.Core Duties

  • Supervise mechanical works on-site including chilled water, firefighting, and pumping systems
  • Support project management with engineering assessments and technical reports
  • Liaise with Dubai authorities (DEWA/DM/Civil Defense) for design compliance and approvals
  • Attend factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site inspections to ensure technical alignment
  • Review mechanical designs and provide value-engineering input as needed
  • Monitor mechanical equipment procurement, installation, and operational testing
  • Generate and submit progress reports, punch lists, and commissioning documentation
  • Identify scope deviations and provide solutions to ensure project continuity
  • Coordinate with CAD and design teams to align documentation with field work
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and clients during all phases

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of UAE/Gulf experience in mechanical works for infrastructure
  • Strong background in mechanical site supervision, especially pumping stations and utilities
  • Proficient with CAD tools and standard engineering software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with Dubai’s regulatory procedures and authority approval systems

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to lead sub-teams and interface with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with chilled water networks and fire safety systems in urban developments
  • Prior exposure to projects managed under Parsons or similar global consultancies
