Job Type: Full TimeWhat You’ll Do
- Review contractor material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and UAE standards
- Coordinate materials testing with subconsultants and ensure proper documentation is maintained
- Conduct field inspections to verify approved materials are used and stored appropriately
- Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and quality control documentation
- Collect, review, and file MSDS, certificates of compliance, and inspection tags
- Advise on material-related nonconformance issues and suggest corrective actions
- Monitor site practices and material storage for compliance with safety and quality regulations
- Assist in job safety and quality control initiatives for material use on infrastructure projects
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff on material control processes
- Participate in meetings related to construction materials and ensure timely resolution of material issues
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least 8 years of experience, with minimum 5 years as a material engineer on infrastructure or landscape projects
- Strong background in material inspection and testing for roads, highways, and public works
- Familiarity with UAE standards and material compliance procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance related to materials
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and verbal communication skills
- Registration with Abu Dhabi municipality or relevant equivalency certification is preferred
- Ability to analyze engineering data, create reports, and communicate technical findings effectively
