The Duty Manager will lead front office activities, coordinate across departments, and manage operational challenges including overbooking situations. The role is essential in ensuring that all guest-facing areas meet service excellence and cleanliness standards. The candidate will also contribute to enhancing overall guest satisfaction and team alignment.Key Responsibilities
- Supervise front office operations in alignment with Jumeirah’s brand and service protocols
- Conduct daily room availability checks and ensure guest readiness
- Coordinate between departments (Housekeeping, Concierge, etc.) to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Attend daily operational briefings and communicate relevant updates to staff
- Handle overbooking scenarios professionally and ensure guest satisfaction
- Oversee lobby presentation and cleanliness, liaising with support teams
- Support emergency procedures and guest incident resolution as required
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in guest services, front office, or public relations within a luxury hospitality setting
- Bachelor\’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline
- Proficient in MS Office and front office software systems (e.g., Opera, PMS)
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts and manage high-pressure guest service situations
