As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction in English language and literature, while inspiring students to develop their critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. You will contribute to the continued academic excellence of GEMS Founders School and support students on their journey toward academic and personal success.Key Responsibilities
- Teach English at secondary level, including up to A Level
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with curriculum guidelines
- Monitor and assess student performance, offering timely support and intervention
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the English department’s planning, assessment, and curriculum review
- Support co-curricular initiatives and participate in school events and enrichment activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of curriculum across grades
- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Uphold school values and actively contribute to a culture of professional excellence
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field with PGCE/PGDE or BEd qualification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in a British curriculum school
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching English at A Level or equivalent senior grade
- Excellent subject knowledge, lesson planning, and classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to engage with the wider school community
