The Postdoctoral Researcher will join a multidisciplinary team working on large, complex medical datasets to develop novel machine learning models for diagnostics and prognostics. The lab’s focus areas include multi-modal learning, self-supervised learning, federated learning, and foundation models such as large language models. This position provides opportunities for publication, collaboration with global researchers, and professional development through mentoring and grant-writing experience.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research in machine learning methodology for healthcare applications
- Design, implement, and evaluate experiments against state-of-the-art benchmarks
- Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals

Job Requirements
- PhD (or near completion) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong publication record as first author in peer-reviewed ML/AI venues
- Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, GitHub, and GPU-based experimentation
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals including deep learning, transfer learning, and self-supervised learning
- Familiarity with managing sensitive healthcare datasets and ethical data handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of both independent and collaborative work
Preferred Qualifications
- Research experience in clinical AI or biomedical machine learning
- Expertise in multi-modal models, federated learning, or large foundation models
- Prior work with electronic health records or medical imaging data
