In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with all aspects of the project, ensuring its successful and safe completion.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies for the bridge construction project
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze potential hazards throughout all project phases
- Create and maintain risk registers, tracking identified risks and their mitigation measures
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop risk mitigation plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented risk control measures
- Prepare and present risk management reports to project stakeholders and senior management
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential risks and safety hazards
- Develop and deliver risk management training programs for project team members
- Continuously improve risk management processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management for construction projects, with a focus on bridge construction
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Must have IIRSM Membership & MIIRSM
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and data interpretation
- In-depth understanding of bridge construction methods and techniques
- Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
